Summary of Innovation 

Collabit is transforming the fishing industry by upcycling tuna waste into valuable marine ingredients, such as fish peptides, used in agriculture and aquaculture as feed and biostimulants. This circular economy approach reduces marine waste while boosting local economies through job creation and resource optimization. The company is piloting this technology in Indonesia, a top tuna exporter, with ABIC funding supporting proof-of-concept development, production scale-up, lab testing, pilot applications, and the "Marine Nutrition Partnership Campaign" to raise awareness of the solution.

In the next six months, Collabit aims to produce a viable marine ingredient—Collabit's Fish Peptides—that will empower aquaculture and agriculture communities by boosting yields and improving profitability. Over the next two years, the vision is for Collabit's biotech solution to be widely adopted in Indonesia and other island states, transforming fish waste into valuable products that clean the oceans and enhance the livelihoods of fisheries stakeholders and coastal communities.
